About Susan Janson

Susan Janson is the founder and owner of Kick It Up Dance Studio in Long Beach, California. A lifelong dancer and educator, Susan established the studio in 2004 while completing her MBA with a specialization in Marketing at California State University, Long Beach. Her vision was to create a welcoming, education-driven environment where dancers of all ages and skill levels could thrive—while also empowering studio owners to build businesses aligned with their core values.

Under her leadership, Kick It Up has become a cornerstone of the Long Beach community, celebrated for its inclusive atmosphere, diverse range of classes, and strong sense of family. The studio has earned numerous community awards and continues to grow as a leader in both dance education and positive youth development.

In addition to her studio work, Susan is nationally recognized for her published writing on marketing and advertising for the performing arts industry. She is a certified coach and proud member of the More Than Just Great Dancing® affiliation, and currently serves as Community Manager and Certified Coach for Enrollio®, where she supports dance studio owners across the country.
